The Live Oak Press management team includes seasoned professionals located in several cities across the United States. The team is headed by David M. Hamilton (MLS), who founded the company in the 1970s and serves as its president.
About the Founder
For more than a decade, David Hamilton has distinguished himself as a professional author, bibliographer, and publisher. Hamilton earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English (specializing in American literature) from Pitzer College in Claremont, California. Serving his publishing apprenticeship at Stanford University in the early 1970s, Hamilton went on to earn a professional degree in library and information science from the University of California at Los Angeles. Hamilton is comfortable in both the corporate and academic worlds, where he has consulted for more than twenty-five years.
Hamilton is listed in the Marquis Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World. He has won awards from the Society of National Association Publications, BookBuilder's West, and the Jack London Educational Foundation.
